Sudoku is about avoiding redundancies in the beginning
(at least at the hardest level)
Regarding the typical 9x9 Sudoku with nine different GIVENS (usually the numbers 1-9) there is still some redundant information left (assuming that all GIVENS are known): the 9th GIVEN (which ever). Only 8 different GIVENS are necessary to solve a unique 9x9 Sudoku. This fact fits to all logical variants (no matter which size).
To get you going we have added 9 Sudokus (using numbers 1-9) below with each of them missing a special GIVEN - the number of the Sudoku itself: e.g. Sudoku #3 does not have the number 3 as a GIVEN, and so on.
This 'little extra' will help to distinguish our Hanzi Sudokus (with Chinese characters) from all the other Sudokus out there :-)
